This picture was requested the night before her funeral, so I had about 4 hours to whip this up. I'd completely forgotten about this image until I found a copy lying around in a rather dusty corner of my hard drive.
It didn't come out too bad, considering the amount of time I had to work with. Mind you, I'm not terribly pleased with the hair.

This one was quiet the custom job!
I took the reference shots myself. He also wanted a touch of color, which I added in the jewelry, the shirt and the frame in the background. Aforementioned frame, features the clients birth-date and zodiac symbol.

It's the heat, I'm sure of it!

Ahhh... yes, first day of summer! Why does summer always bring out the nut jobs? This little treasure showed up at work today, wielding vanilla incense and more saint metals than I could count.

Ode to the Ecuadorian art goddess

Heh, I'm cruel.
I was informed a while back by my ex-coworker, the self proclaimed Ecuadorian art goddess, that it was rather abnormal that I never drew couples.
Now, said Ecuadorian art Goddess claims she can do anything with any medium. You know, like the guy in the Aladdin movie, she slices, she dices, she makes fries. She also happens to be a staunch Catholic, who doesn't clean toilets. If none of this makes sense to you do not dismay, I confuse even myself at times.
Now personally I think the woman's art has all the style and grace, of some sweat soaked orgy, yanked from the cover of a romance novel. But hell, I'm just an evil pagan, so what do I know, right?
So to make a long story short, I was fuming over this comment the other night, and wham! I drew this picture.
Yes ladies and gentlemen! Two gay men. Don't like it? Then go away and hide in your bubble. Oh, and on a side note, the one in back is based on the face of a British actor. Now, its not finished yet, it will be shaded, but I just soooo wanted to vent that I had to post right away.

This piece is called "The Burning Ones", or in Hebrew, "Seraphim". Religious iconography, is rather foreign territory for me. Frankly I'm still trying to decide how I ended up drawing this at all! My best guess is that this is some strange side effect of reading The Divine Comedy at three in the morning......
